have you ever had a dream about an author?

i dreamed that i was staying at a hotel and philip k dick was there. he was quite a young man and obviously mentally ill. he came and sat opposite me at breakfast despite me not knowing him and immediately launched into an extremely intense and hard to follow conversation - it felt like he was suffering from word salad. i was very impressed with him but at the same time very unnerved. he was clearly a genius and i was quite starstruck, but i felt very sad trying to follow his rambling thoughts and realising that they led nowhere

after a while, a female acquaintance of mine joined us and i tried to tell her who he was but he immediately started intensely engaging her before i could interject and she was visibly uncomfortable with his attention. i was at a loss as to what to do and eventually just got up and left as i saw him trying to touch her face and her visibly flinching

pic should be related, except at the time i had this dream i didn't know what he looked like, so he instead looked like a weird young man with glasses and i have no idea where the face came from
