I recommend reading Yuga: An Anatomy of Our Fate by Marty Glass. He engages with Marx, Mumford, Postman, Eliade, Ellul, Baudrillard, and the Traditionalist authors Guenon, Coomaraswamy, and Schuon. He doesn't use any sophisticated academic jargon, but many of his passages are poignant but he reminds you that all the shittiness of the world is Maya and there is nothing to fear anyway. The book is more like a whitepill wrapped in a massive blackpill, but I still think you can extract some ideas from it. Also, when you do write the introductory essay that puts q/acc on the map, make sure you metaphorically tie occultism into it, as it is the standard fare of Accelerationism.

>that one book where if you had the money, you would actually give out copies to all of your family, friends, and coworkers, and leave copies laying around at train stations, bus stops, and park benches
What book is it? For me it's Yuga: An Anatomy of Our Fate.

Guenon and Evola were correct in saying any routes left towards legitimate initiation were disappearing at an alarming rate, and there are probably none left at this time. At the same time, the Prison of Unreality or hyperreality entraps us until we are completely and utterly cut of from Reality with a capital R. That is the point where the world ends, and this is how the Kali Yuga unfolds.

>i don't see how it could ever be compatible with traditionalism
The Marxist critique of capital can be compatible with Traditionalism if viewed from a metaphysical pov.

Marty Glass is soft Trad. If you're trying to find someone that connects Traditionalism with Marx (his critiques, not Marxist policies) he would be it.

Pic related is the amalgamation of all the "based and redpilled" Traditionalist shit and "we live in a society" meme books, along with tech and media critiques from Lewis Munford to Neil Postman all in one book. Most of /lit/ here would nod along, but ordinary people would shit a break if they were to read any of the moderate to large sized chapters.

I've spent much time thinking about this same problem, and every time I try to untangle this mess and get to the bottom of it, my head starts to hurt. It's a Gordian Knot that can only be undone by a noumenal blade of pure logos. It's much easier to explain the problem in metaphysical terms. That said, I recommend this book. Marty Glass believes the problem is multifaceted and metaphysical, and the rign of quantity, capital, technology, ecological encroachment, and hyperreality are to blame.

Has anyone here read Yuga and if so, what are your thoughts on Glass' analysis? I posted a few excerpts in the Jean Baudrillard thread for those who are interested.

Marty Glass is good to bridge the gap between the Traditionalists, and the Marxists and Postmodernists.

Yuga: An Anatomy of Our Fate by Marty Glass. I got the vibe that he is a burned out hippie who hates modernity and progress, however. He is well read, and speaks passionately from the heart, and in plain English. What I found most interesting was he managed to synthesize the societal critiques of Jean Baudrillard, Karl Marx, Jaques Ellul, and Neil Postman with that of Rene Guenon and Mircea Eliade among others.

This book presents a big picture view of why the world is shit, but without going into the typical political, economic, and social narratives.
