Any fantasy with magic systems with an inherent sense of mystery to them, that's acknowledged by the people in the world? I want characters to study, theorize, and debate about what the nature of magic is, like a philosopher would with metaphysics.

Soft or hard magic systems, I feel like they're never really explored except in what you can DO with them.
