reading the summary on wikipedia should answer that question pretty easily.
much like the endless slew of garbage writings from politicians and public figures (Ben Shapiro or Obama's new book are good examples), this type of work sells because it reaffirms everything the purchaser already believed.
It's the literary equivalent to a Buzzfeed or PragerU video.
