Not OP, but I really want to thank you, anon.
You gave a really good overview of it, and I especially appreciate the lecture.

Same shit Hegel said, Aristotle BTFO'd him before existing

Hegel thought that because we can hold two contradictory things in our mind at once, the same must be true of matter/society/history and that something happens to resolve the contradiction. World Spirit moves/changes it like the kind of motion/change in the concepts in a syllogism, but *in the world/matter*.

Elementary but devastating mistake: cold doesn't become hot, some substance say water does (the subject of the change) It can't be hot/cold at the same time. Hegel thought a "World Spirit" did the work of change. Marx said it was matter itself and conflict brought about the change, a new thing social form. "Hegel read Aristotle but he seems not to have noticed Aristotle solved the problem of change in the sixth book of The Physics with his discovery of potential being/potency" Duane Berquist https://archive.org/search.php?query=duane%20berquist

"James Chastek of Just Thomism suggests: “A thomist could probably teach the whole history of modern thought as an overlooking of the distinction between potency and act.” https://edwardfeser.blogspot.com/2009/09/heisenberg-on-act-and-potency.html https://edwardfeser.blogspot.com/2009/05/act-and-potency.html

Dialectic can mean discourse like to-fro dialogues of Plato; - Can mean a type of scientific knowledge i.e 'probabilistic' (do more testing, put those results in dialogue with the known)';- In metaphysics e.g. how contrarieties operate in substances/natures e.g. cold<->hot, sick<->healthy, how these properties go in/out of existence.

Talking about things can get to a point/discovery, e.g. Platonic dialogue. Technical philosophical term is dialectic. Things change. e.g a substances/a nature has an ability to be like this then like that*. Some metaphysical systems hold that there is *material dialogue between non-being<->being i.e. becoming. Evil metaphysical systems like Hegel's dialectic of the spirit or Marx's dialectical materialism, are deliberate overlooking of Aristotle's discovery of how things change, his discovery of potential/ability.

>Heidegger was a member and supporter of the Nazi Party.

Ehh, he was mixed about it. But some ideas during the Reich came from him directly or indirectly.

>Several times during the late 1930s, Eliade publicly expressed his support for the Iron Guard, a fascist and antisemitic political organization

Same as above.
