Generally speaking, the opinion here is that Infinite Jest is one of the best, most wonderful books to ever sit on our bookshelves. It's just magnificent. I'm looking up at my unread copy, staring down at me like fucking Goliath, intimidating all my tiny - equally unread - penguin classics, and being an impressive monster of a book.

I have a Simone de Beauvoir book that I haven't read –sat between unread Hemingway and unread Camus – but display proudly in bookshelf threads, and I guess if I read that, it would say something about phallic size.
