I'm a modern irish progressive, looking to educate myself about the Irish Right and reactionary irish philosophy. Any decent works from catholic, nationalist or just generally conservative irish authors? (I've read Pearse of course)

I'm of the opinion that the right never had a place in Ireland really. I have a right-wing friend who claims irish nationalists were always philosophically conservative but this seems like nonsense to me. Pearse, Connolly and Griffith would be proud of modern Ireland, only problem is we don't have the united 32 counties.
