Kindly shut the fuck up. Trigger warnings are a recent development (15 years tops) to coddle babies who have trouble with reality. You've got PTSD? To your core you have PTSD and it's not a seed that this crybaby libertarian culture has coddled into a victimized watermelon? Then go get some therapy and realize that life is full of scary bad things, and learn to be strong, but mainly, learn to stop being such a pussy.

Feminists aren't about fostering intellectual discussions in university, they want to play the patriarchy victim card, aka the get out of responsibility for your actions free card.

As for the initial article: There is no such thing as a 'rape culture' extant in our society. This society does not condone rape, never has, never will. Offensive jokes do not equal 'promoting' or 'trivialising' rape, jokes exist to offend people's sensibilities. The student who felt that the "dissenting opinions" could serve to "invalidate the true victim experience" for rape victims is a moronic cunt, just because someone came along to debunk your bogeyman conspiracy ideas that the patriarchal oppreshuns are trying to get all women raped by men and get those men off the legal hook, that doesn't mean the speaker would've "invalidated" anyone's experience as a victim.

>puppies, play-doh, balloons, etc.
they're literally setting up a kindergarten environment that these intellectually and emotionally inferior babies can regress to. I wish there could be an iq average of feminists brought to public light so we could laugh

Why the fuck are you people acting reasonable? Fuck.

I guess I'll just wait for the class and try to handle it like a normal human being.

[ERROR]

Right now in my creative writing class:
>peer edits due online for poetry
>i'm shit at writing a coherent, 'class-acceptable' poem in the first place, and still expected to give other people critiques (who are generally worse than me)
>end up coming off like an asshole; everything I write is brief and not helpful and inadvertently sarcastic
>everyone in the class ignores me when I say hi and treats me like an asshole
i'm actually a really nice guy, I just read too much Tao Lin and write 'comments' like 'this' without even thinking about it

>Friend talking to me about how worthless essays are and how he'd rather just read definitive facts
>Doesn't understand the value in reading about differentiating opinions
>Feels that a formal essay format is useless and would rather write things down in a list and get them graded
>Thinks people read essays because they are lazy and don't want to form their own opinions
What the fuck, /lit/?
How I hate friendship.
How I hate arguing with them when their opinions consist of little more than "Well that's my opinion."
Fuck the world.

>Friend tells me that books are a waste of time, because movies do the exact same thing but better, and in a shorter period of time
>He has only ever read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for fun
>We are in college
People actually have this mindset?
