Why has literally nobody mentioned him? He's kinda a meme, but he definitely had worthwhile work

I’m about to begin Emerson. Any preparation texts needed? Is an immature intellect ready for him?

I remember reading a piece some years ago. It was on education, but my searches haven't yielded the correct piece. I remember Emerson talking about how man requires education naturally. He gave an example. He said that when a new carpenter comes to town, all the other carpenters went to see his work because, innately, we all have a desire to learn and grow as students. I have not found this sentiment in any of his writing but I remember it so clearly. Anyone know?

Did this guy really contribute anything to western thought other than telling us to study in the woods instead of libraries. This goes for Whitman and Thoreau too

"Though we travel the world to find the beautiful , we must carry it with us or we will find it not"

Ralph was a transcendentalist , he believed people to all be equal. this quote in my perspective can have many different meanings to it. i fairly rather hear from you guys of what you think?
