Just finished The crying of lot 49.
First Pynchon I've read and I liked it, are his other works similar, what did people think of it?

Okay so I just finished this. It was my first Pynchon novel and I really enjoyed it though it got a bit sluggish for me at times.

Favorite bits
>the Paranoids making an SOS out of their roaches
>the hairspray can going loose
>Mucho becoming an LSD addict
>that America analogy near the end

What did you think of this book? Also where do you rec I go with Pynchon now that I have been introduced to his style? Should I just jump right into Gravity's Rainbowand see what happens?

The Crying Lot of 49.

Do you want me to paste a description from somewhere like a pleb? I haven't read the book, therefore cannot describe it.

Read Mason & Dixon recently and really enjoyed it, Pynchon's prose is beautiful and everything about the storytelling in that book, the tact with which he handles central themes and character interactions are just spectacular.

So I'd really like to read more of his work.
