I thought it was cool to make what was basically a hardboiled detective story in an alternate history germany.

So what's the closest fantasy literature to Dark/Demon's Souls?

Like i.e. Berserk is the closest manga to it.

Nice, anon. Quite nice indeed

Both are excellent. First one made me laugh.

Lone gusts of wind
Blowing down the green plains.
Putting an eye down me
Green it's no more, no more.

Solitary I was, shall remain
Your brief tidings pull me in
no more. Sun still shines
on world. On me, no more.

Pour thy milk o merciful heavens,
Pouncing darkness; wise men pondering.
Glorious your past, saving mighty
ships evr'y. Save me you can no more.

Gather ye clouds, gather round me
Mock, jeer; humiliating watery leer.
Every penny your way cast away, beaten,
Broken, dead. Break me you can no more.

I poked through the wiki, but couldn't find anything along the lines of what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for a book on the fundamental laws of logic, and how to use inductive & deductive reasoning, along with the laws of logic, to win any argument.
My father said he had read a book like this, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me out.

"Camus can do but Sartre is smart-ra." My roommate told me that one recently, I laughed.

Anyways. I'd say The Myth of Sisyphus is a good place for you to start if you're recovering from a suicide attempt; the theme of the essay is why suicide is not a viable option for escaping the absurdity of existence, instead only perpetuating it. Then move on to The Stranger.

I'm glad to see you survived, Anon. I've been there. But it gets better, even at its worst, and I do find Camus a great comfort.

people who read books on a regular basis adopt a kind of work ethic for reading.

they would never post on an imageboard asking how long it would take to read a book. they'd just read it.

I had assumed you probably don't read a lot of books, so you don't have this ethic for reading. Therefore, I think it will take you longer than most to read the book- chances are you won't even finish it.
