So, I'm reading "under the dome" by Stephen King. About halfway in. Very interesting book, it's cool to see ow the small conmunity develops rapidly when they're cut off from the word. Reminds me of Lord of the Flies, spiced up with a healthy dose of fascism.

Anyone else who have read it? What did you think of it? I'm not done with it yet, so no spoilers please.

so, is it me, or was this good?

while it's not as good as King's other two long novels (The Stand and IT), I felt King captured post 9/11 America in a pretty clever way, it was fascinating to see his take on it

as per usual most fans have taken issue with the ending and the explanation for the Dome (way to be predictable guys), but it's about the journey, not the destination

Thinking about picking up this book, lots of ppl say its good

Has any one else read this book? Its a book that shaped my childhood, and truly an amazing piece of art. When i was 11 my councilor at my summer camp had givin' it to me for a read, and i couldn't set it down for 3 months, not because of my reading skill, which was superb for my age, but because i kept reading it over and over again. I still read it from time to time, but i wanna know what /lit/ thinks
