Sup /lit/. Any linguists here? I was just wondering where the use of 'what' instead of 'that' in English dialects comes from. Example:

>I don't trust people what don't look you in the eye

instead of

>I don't trust people that don't look you in the eye

Anyone know which dialects use this substitution and when it originated?
