Aside from this: much of what McCarthy wrote, especially the "The Border Trilogy", which consist of different stories self-contained in each novel that take place in, as you could already guess, the USA 's south border. Also worth noting, the third entry has both the protagonists of the first and second entries together as the main protagonists.
