While some on this board might drag him as a self help author, I'm an anxious neurotic fuck and I had a really good time with the comfy zen uncle. I think he also just speaks well to a more STEM focused audience, as he's very good a drawing the connections to help see the value of things without just quantifying them but without going into straight theology.

Alan Watts is kind of memed, but he did make his name contextualizing eastern thought for unfamiliar western audiences, and he's good at it.
He's a very comfy and empathetic read/listen besides, so you can even look up some of his lectures if you're unsure before you pick up any of his books
