The problem the right has with postmodernism relates to the two single cognitive tools the right has: 'denialism' and 'definition'. Definition works to obscure denialism with romantic images (illusions) of stable identity, or stable origin. Postmodernism is really the continuation of the Nietzchean interest in genealogies (antithetical to the notion of an origin, for there is always some state from which an event cannot be isolated etc.), and the right simply cannot do with the erosion of definition that means a subversion of their denialism.
