Back at my dorm now. Everyday feels the same. The routine regret feels worse somehow

Any good books about ageing out of every major demo in a late capitalist society? I'm not even a person that struggles with my mortality per se I just want to understand what I'm experiencing from the perspective of a 3rd party. If you try to talk about this with people IRL they will vehemently deny it with irrelevant axioms that speak nothing to the self-destructive and misery spreading decisions of 21st century marketers.

>Read a post today from a zoomer that outright unironically declared he couldn't wait until all of the adults born in the 80s are too old for internet discussion so they stop calling out the zoomers on revisionism
>have seen this sentiment growing on every major source of information

Any books about cultures that are inevitably and irrevocably fucked? All I can think of is Hyperion and I read it.

I messed up big time.

Wrote a short story in four days for the sake of submitting something by the deadline, and was shortlisted. My work is now online with my face next to it and biographical detail.

However, the story is poorly written (the prize isn't too competitive) and is about a depressed, anti-social, highly sensitive incel who ends up pretty much stalking a girl (not literally, but he keeps turning up at the same place she visits). I just read an article about how prevalent violence against women, stalking etc is in fiction, and how creepy male writers should know better. I began to panic and realize I'm exactly the kind of person the journalist was writing about.

Am I fucked?

I can't ask for the story to be taken down as my name and it are also linked on other websites, and Twitter.

iktf. My prose is virtually identical to JK Rowling's. I just discovered that this year as I finally swallowed my pride to read those terrible fucking books.

Hi /lit/. I am a professional writer that is woefully decently read at best. I never had any formal higher education on literature outside of basic English courses in college and I really want to correct this in a way that will benefit me as an author.

I'm a long time lurker/poster here so I know a lot of people will suggest the greeks but seriously where do I begin? I've survived off of a lot of meme contemporary classics like Infinite Jest and the better genre fiction but I feel it's time to get more serious about my career. My problem is I'm keenly aware the western canon is full of trash and I genuinely don't know what sources to trust as a result of this. Thanks.
