Libertarianism is nice in theory but wrong in practice

>>21211849
>it’s a decent read since much of their predictions have stood the test of time
Such as? It's pretty obvious by now information technology possess no threat to government, you have obvious examples like China where technology is being used to better control populations but even in liberal dumbocraies where it's free to just stock tribalism governments can still be in the drivers seat (a bunch of dumb boomers in Canada tried to fund a protest with crypto and it didn't work well shockingly).
Cryptocurrencies became a thing but ended up failing as money... stablecoins funnily enough are the most useful but are basically just 21st century eurodollars and work to further dollarize things

I'm saying he doesn't actually synthesis half the shit he spews so there's no coherence there, besides being a goofball. The Jungian woowoo and liberalism really don't mix and he's telling boys they're going to find their true self on an astrological chart after reading the bible and studying the neurology of lobsters.

The average American wants to live in a neighborhood of exclusively single family homes with access to free roads they can use to get anywhere, the Georgist lolbertarian idea would destroy that and confine people to dense urban jungles. You're not going to be paying for a national highway system with a "single tax" and if you just let local governments go free with zoning and shit you won't even make housing costs go down

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Round_Table_movement#Conspiracy_theory
>Irish American academic Carroll Quigley believed that the Round Table Group was the front for a secret society for a global conspiracy of control set up by Cecil Rhodes named the Society of the Elect [11] to implement Rhodes's 'plan' to unite all English-speaking nations,[12] and further believed that the elite of the British empire had an undue influence on the American elite. Sir Ivison Macadam thought Quigley was "crazy".[13] As one writer noted, the "tragedy of Quigley was his conviction that he was outside of an inner circle that itself did not exist"[14]

>But it would, in theory screw the banks and the state, but that is why it’s supposed to not work.
Literally makes no sense. State can assess your income/wealth easily enough and force you to pay up in anything they want or even corvee labour... unless you live in total poverty you can't hide what's going on. Same thing with banks, a rose by any other name, credit is still gonna be rationed irrationally by buttcoinbros but they're addicted to higher rates of real returns than any bankster ever was
