Snippet from a post-modernist take on the odyssey set in a post-apocolyptic desert region with two warring factions. Grant fears following in his father's steps of being a great military commander priding virtue and courage since he dies in battle. But finds such a lifestyle inevitable in the conditions he's in. Here he's going through his father's journey of returning from a great oasis and is searching for water in a warehouse that turns out to be a front for a prewar army research lab, being guarded by security robots, one of which his father killed years before on his own journey.
