What are the main differences between Catholicism and Orthodoxy theologically and why do some ex-Protestants choose Orthodoxy over Catholicism sometimes? Is the anti-Catholicism they ingrain into Protestants that strong?

I need two or three of the "best" English written novels. I have picked Moby dick so far. Considering Wuthering Heights and Pride and Prejudice.

hindus don't argue well unless you think appealing to the vedas or to guru-authority is convincing.
they're good at using rhetoric and just asserting shit as if its self-evident even if it's not and actually goes against all common sense and experience.
The fact that they can't ultimiately distinguish between God and the individual just shows how delusional they are.

really Socrates/Plato,a bit of Aristotle and Plotinus is all we need.
Some of our Christian saints are fine too, for their metaphors and mysticism.

lol, back in highschool I took AP Lang and Lit where all we did was write ON PAPER. And I actually developed strong writing skills, and it was NOT EASY. A lot of the STEM nerds got 50s and the average was around 75. I was better at AP Lit than lang, in Lit I got 91s.

Meanwhile, I took two English classes in college. First one was mandatory "writing" class where we typed up bullshit essays, which were graded mainly for completion. Second one, I willingly took because it was called "Rhetoric and Grammar", I wanted to follow Peterson's advice on leaving college with strong writing skills so I figured I'd take a class to brush up on them.

Then entire class is a joke and has nothing to do with writing. It's LITERALLY postmodernist neoMarxist propaganda. First, the 2 weeks of class was mainly about getting to know each other's names. Then the class was about politics, "dialogue", how our identities influence dialogue, and E-M-P-A-T-H-Y. What a joke. We've got a final project in the damn class and I got a group with 3 other women (there were only 4 men, including me, in the entire class and 1 is hyper cucked, a 5th guy bailed out when he could) and they unilaterally decided to do "rape culture".

Fuck college, learn to write in highschool kids! I had hopes that the class would improve later, but it just got worse. Hate every bitch in that class. Most useless class I ever took it college, the only thing I got out of it was that I can now FIRMLY CONFIRM, that they whole Marxist propaganda infesting English class is absolutely true. I'm a chem major so I didn't realize it before, but now I know it's absolutely true.

>I just don't think "because God said so!" is a good ethical argument.
so you havent groked anything you read

it's not simply good because God says so, it's good because it is in accord with natural law, a law that is imprinted and expressed by our nature and raises man to the dignity he is meant to embody because he is an imago dei (icon of God).

if you see a man put his finger in dog shit and eat it, he is defiling his image, similar to a man who engorges himself and gets to 400lbs or decides to put his penis in assholes.

tl;dr repent and improve reading comprehension, either you believe in objective morality and a definite human nature, or you're a relativistic shill and understanding human nature or morality or the purpose of life becomes impossible

>man quotes a book accurately
>gets expelled from University

This can't be good from a literary, artistic, or truth perspective.

they don't read the pali, they read modern, western buddhism books and websites that filter everything for them in a way that is palatable to secular, fedoras who worship scientism.

>First cause and designer aren't same thing you stinking pseud

I didn't say they are the same by definition. What I meant was that they go together, a first cause follows by logic otherwise you get an infinite regress and other problems, and 'designer' follows by observation of the world and life its intricacies, harmony and complexity so first cause and designer are actually one and the same, but by different reasons.

>the big bang was the first cause because there was no such thing as causality before it.

the big bang is just the earliest hypothesized space-time frame our physics hypothesizes about, it isn't a "first cause" it's more of a a first-effect, or earliest effect, within our reference frame. Whatever condition made the big bang possible would have to be outside time-and-space, by definition.
If it was not outside time and space then the big bang would be impossible. So the big bang really implies a transcended dimension actually, which isn't surprising since a catholic priest came up with the idea.
