Just finished pic related, what a fucking ride. Might be my favorite sci-fi book I've ever read. I'm also reading it off the back of the Project Hail Mary, and it really showed how childish and stupid Weir's writing is.

Going through pic related for the second time, have to say it's really one of the best science fiction books of the past twenty years - its seamless combination of existential reflections and technocentric prose has few parallels.
