Saint Paisios prophecied the covid "vaccine" many decades ago. He said that it will be a forerunner to the mark of the beast.

Long ago before television was invented, there was a Russian Orthodox monk who prophecied that one day, everyone will have a demonic box in their homes that hypnotizes them with illusions.

A man was visiting an Eastern Orthodox monastery and a monk came up to him and said "There is something terribly wrong with you. You spiritually have a foul stench about you."
The man didn't understand what the monk could be talking about.
They met again that night and had a conversation. Eventually it came out that the man had written a book supporting evolutionary theory. This was the cause of the foul stench! The monk told him that evolutionary theory is a Masonic deception and contrary to Orthodox Christianity.
The man later renounced his belief in evolution.

By the way, this is very important to understand in the Orthodox worldview: Something being symbolic does NOT mean that it isn't literal as well. It can be both literal and symbolic.
A lot of people make this mistake where they think "Oh this thing in the Bible is symbolic, so that means it didn't literally happen." That's wrong.

Which metaphor do you mean?
It isn't "scientific" in the sense of following the scientific method if that is what you mean. It is discussing things that are prior to science. The scientific method presupposes certain metaphysical assumptions. This book is regarding theology and metaphysics, not science.
However, you might be surprised at how specific and precise this book is. If you are an atheist and you think that spirituality is always sort of "wishy washy" and vague, then you will be pleasantly surprised by this book. Orthodox metaphysics is very robust and has precisely defined terminology.

When you learn Orthodox theology, there is something that you must understand called the essence/energies distinction. Orthodoxy says that God's essence is unknowable. However, His uncreated energies (that is to say, activities or operations) can be known to us.

It isn't a racial thing. There are ethnic jews in the Orthodox church and they aren't treated as inferior to gentile Orthodox.
But at the same time, that doesn't mean one must follow "political correctness" and refrain from saying unpleasant truths when it is necessary.
