What does “Faustian” mean exactly?

Part 2 was extremely boring compared to part 1.

What book did you have the most fun reading?

Do people actually like this? It was boring af and besides one or two nice quotes a total waste of time.

I recently read the individual classic versions of Faust (Dr. Faustus, and Goethe's Faust) and man that was entertaining writing. I really recommend it if you enjoy on the nose humor dealing with selling your soul to the devil for power.

Any other books that follow similar themese that someone who like these might like as well?

I am German so it was a mandatory read in school.

I don't really know how old I was back then. I think between 14 and 16. I remember that I kinda liked it, but well that was all.

Last year, now being 25 years old, I reread the first part of Faust and I loved it! Absolutely loved it. I think back then in school I was a little put off by the fact that it was poetry, but now I really like it and see the effort that Goethe put into it. Also some of the ideas and things in the book are way more clear than back then.

Would highly recommand it to everyone here to read it.
