I'm 25 years old now. Is this the age where people discover their true political leanings or has 4chan finally completed it's job of radicalizing me?
I notice the change when I finally unfollow pages or get out of facebook groups that I was once a part of. Is SJW culture claiming and corrupting the things that I enjoyed, or is it just me getting tired of the mainstream narrative?
I’ve grown to despise (most of) the permaculture people, enviromentalists, artist peers, and I can’t see myself dating a girl around my age anytime soon. I don’t feel comfortable around them, and I’m sure I wouldn’t be welcome among them anyway once I open my mouth. It’s all a big echo chamber, and underneath the sensible, friendly facade, lies tirany and the desire to silence everyone else. The political agenda doesn’t have to be subtle anymore, it has now (or was I just late to realize?) asserted itself as the norm and the foremost value.
Once I wanted to become an illustrator. The desire to get away from everyone started to manifest itself in “homesteading fantasies” and now I’ve given up the art career to become an agronomist and na engineer. From artist to engineer, that’s kind of symbolic.
