The fact that /pol/ loves it means you should automatically assume it's fucking stupid. Further investigation proves that it is:

Kerouac's prose was godly, it's a shame he was such an insufferable piece of shit. All that pretending to be a Buddhist and he can't even pretend to follow its main rules.

Ginsberg was an alright (emphasis on the alright) poet but he was also shit, but with annoying political views to boot.

You know what, they're all shit on a personal level. Burroughs was also just OK, but The Naked Lunch is so gimmicky. The whole "Woah so edgy XDDD" thing wears off in about 50 pages.

Kesey was the same as Kerouac: a good writer with dumb opinions and a streak of asshole behavior.
