The hardest part to understand about the logic of Christology is that it isn't bimodal: the Catholics' attempt to straightjacket the spiritual within the Aristotelian approach of Aquinas was always going to fail.

'Maybe Logic' is required:
God can be both the all-loving mother-father of the New, and the vengeful, jealous Lord of the Old; Jesus was both a man, apprehending and walking in the world with a human body (and a human brain), and also Christ -- the Son of God, who is also God himself, seeing the world through human eyes -- he could be flawed (things said and done that reveal his human nature) and also perfect (his willing sacrifice on the cross transcending the human instinct for self-preservation and demonstrating his divinity);
the Bible can be both a historical text, imperfect and artificial, and a symbolic work with moral lessons both implicit and explicit, and a bridge between the human world of conception, interpretation, and understanding and the divine world of Truth, that cannot be articulated, or even fully conceived of, but only experienced numinously through reading scripture;
there is no salvation outside the Church, but those who are not baptised can still be saved;
the Eucharist is bread and wine, but also the body and blood of Christ;
God is both three and one.
