I have read Jacobi's introduction to Jung, Man and his Symbols and the Archetypes and the Collective Unconscious. While the ends of a lot of what Jung said seems far fetched, I am certainly convinced that there is a unique relationship between the conscious, unconscious and self. Where have you, who've read the man, gone next?

I was a little disappointed by Man and his Symbols, admittedly. It lacked the depth of the Archetypes and the breadth of Jacobi's book. However, I imagine that was by design since it was aimed at the common man. By the end I was just bored of the stream of examples of dream interpretation. Since the authors presented dreams and then their interpretation, I found myself trying to figure out what symbols and context-specific meanings would arise, never was I right in my approximations. I suppose that either points to either how little I know about the subject, or that dream interpretation is more conjecture-bording-speculation than anything. Maybe both, however the former being true means I can't say whether the latter is true. Either way, Jung is cool and I am unsure of where to go with him next.
