To sell good you should follow the erotic trends. These trends are soulless and will gnaw away your sense of meaning. You will see erotica authors making millions, selling short fiction so bad it hurts to read. You thought 4chan har har I'm retarded is bad? This is that har har but put forth as genuine.

It gets worse in the romance category. And even worse than romance in the subgenres for kinks like werewolf shape shifting. You will have to write in these subgenres if you want to make any kind of money, as the market is extremely saturated.
