Pretty much what >>21479178 says. I am somewhat open to read books by bisexual/gay authors such as Mishima, Evelyn Waugh or Chuck Palahniuk despite knowing their sexual orientation but beyond that no, no interest. I'm not interested into furry stuff as well and it is revolting in a similar war.

Subconsciously JK rowling simply mirrored national socialist imagery in the Harry Potter series. Take the four schools. Gryffindor is literally the NSDAP leadership. Pure, courages, strong, b. They stayed decent despite being the most battle hardened. They won the battle. Ravenclaw is superior Germanic intellect. Carl Friedrich Gauss, University of Heidelberg, Wunderwaffen. Hufflepuff is its opposite pole. The deepest roots of the germanic people is the strong, loving, productive and fertile farmers and craftsmen. They ain't one in a million. They are the millions and their color is golden. National socialist policy and propaganda is full of that kind of propaganda. Class cooperation, Reichsarbeitesdienst. Finally you have Slytherin. The germanic people can do everyting when it comes to destroy the Bolshevist Weltpest. Germany can easily utilize subterfuge and spite. They are the Totenkopf Guards of concentration camps.

Four schools. Four spokes of the swastika. Remember the non-Germanic kids in the movies? There is reasons they always felt misplaced or tokens blacks etc.

No, it's not bad either but very mediocre to alright, some parts are really good. However if it wasn't one of the first japanese novels no one would bat an eye and if you are not interested in reading about depression I would skip it. If you want to dwell in japanese aesthetics because you are a weeb than you should skip it as well, because it doesn't give a lot of information about japanese society .
I read no longer human/ningen shikaku after that, expecting something special but that wasn't the case either. I'm one of the few here that doesn't enjoy japanese literature, I prefer their other artistic outputs more.

How would the Harry Potter books change if the kids were older when they started Hogwarts?
