>tfw too stupid to enjoy Pynchon
I've read about 140 pages of V. as my first Pynchon novel and I don't really get it. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere. I don't really understand these characters and am having a hard time caring about them. (actual spoilers ahead) What's the deal with all the jews? Are the nose jobs that significant? is the jewishness of the characters significant? I liked the first 30 or 40 pages or so, and in fact I thought the first 10 pages or so were hilarious but I have no fucking clue where the novel is going at this point. I am just too retarded to understand Pynchon? Is V. a slice of life novel or what is going on?
