hi /lit/
suggest me some metric scheme.
I've already tried sonnet and haiku, and I would like to try something else.
Thank you ..

My girlfriend and I both sent each other a poem. Which do you like more?

Hey /lit/ my first time on this board and I was wondering if you could tell me what you think of my poem?
It's an autobiographical account of my view on the world and my life in general. It's called:

Inked Ravens of Despair Claw Holes in the Arse of the Worlds’ Mind

Scrotal threats unhorse a question of flowers,
I asked for answers and got a hit full of heroin in return,
When time fell wanking to the floor they kicked his teeth,
My body disgusts, damp grease wafts sweat balls from sweat balls and thigh fungus
A girl strips in my mind, squeezes my last pumping drop of hope and rolls me over to sleep alone,
Fireball the dead cities of the mind and watch the skin peel and warp,
Unhappy bubbles of anal wind popping and winking in the mortal bath,
Assailed by doubts and wracked by fear, tossed in a wrecked mucus foam of steamed loathing,
Snot trails of lust perforate the bowels of my intent,
Put on your red shoes, Major Tom, funk to flunky is there life on Mars?

Below is my first-ever attempt at a forlorn love poem. Would anons who really appreciate poetry be able to give me a simple overall thumbs up or thumbs down, and then constructive criticism if you can think of any?

I Love You, But:

I love you
But
You’re just not right for me

I love you
But
You’re not the same person that you used to be

I love you
But
I don’t know anymore so we’ll have to wait and see

I love you, I love you
But, but, but
X, Y, and Z

Any wordsmiths know of an online paragraph generator that only uses the words you feed it?

I've got a bunch of words I need to build sequences of grammatically correct phrases with.

Like an anagram generator. Except it only would use the user-specificied words (and quantities of said words) instead of specific letters.

Or like... automatic fridge magnet poetry (that is programmable?)

Deep down
He loved her
But she not him
Put on a brave face and continue

Critic my piece /lit/!

I was bored and decided to just write something.

Title - Night walker

sometimes, when everyone is asleep,
I put on my dirty old trainers and jacket,
and go into the street outside,
it is mostly a different place at night,

no people rushing about like ants,
no cars with their noisy engines and loud horns,
no children screaming their voices at things they don't like,
just the occasional sound of the wind, rushing through the trees,

you also see some sights in the early hours,
people staggering home while drunk to a empty homes,
rubbish on the side of the road, waiting to be collected,
sometimes you even see sleeping cats and dogs,
usally locked out and neglected by their owners,

sometimes, I only walk a few meters,
sometimes a few hundred meters is better,
just as long as I have enough time to ponder the days events,
then, I turn around and head back home,

it is cold out after all,
and I just want my bed

Title - Dildos and baked beans

sometimes I look back at all the decisions I have made,
I only do this once as not too depress,
I see a few things I could have differed,
But it too late too change now I guess,

sometimes I look back at all the memories I have collected,
not all of them happy I admit,
but I guess we all carry an unwanted load
just discard the bad ones down the pit,

sometimes I look forward to what's in store for me,
can I trust my instincts to do what's best?
i guess ill just throw myself in feet first
because I only get one chance

Lets each write a poem /lit/

Doesn't have to be good, doesn't have to mean anything, lets just be creative.

Title - Dildos and beer

they both meet
greetings are exchanged

he remembers
her hair
he eyes
her expression
her body
her tone

what did she really mean?

Afternoon /lit/

How about we get something like this going; read a poem, then post a poem you like.

Thomas Hood - Stanzas.

FAREWELL, Life! my senses swim,
And the world is growing dim;
Thronging shadows cloud the light,
Like the advent of the night;
Colder, colder, colder still,
Upward steals a vapor chill;
Strong the earthy odor grows—
I smell the mould above the rose!

Welcome, Life! the Spirit strives!
Strength returns and hope revives;
Cloudy fears and shapes forlorn
Fly like shadows at the morn;
O’er the earth there comes a bloom;
Sunny light for sullen gloom,
Warm perfume for vapor cold—
I smell the rose above the mould!

Hey /lit/

I don't know if this will cause a shitstorm, lets hope not, but who do you think the best poet is. Or even best book of poetry.
