Broke up with my gf a while ago and I told her some lies to push her even farther away. To make sure that she could never know what I was feeling and to help her move on faster even though we were in love with each other. It felt like the situation was something I couldn’t talk my way out of so I pushed her away.

Any books to help move on from this mental pain?

The road is an abortion as is all of Mccarthy work.

Meanwhile they avoid anything Mccarthy himself deconstructs thus missing out on key parts of Mccarthys work its self simply because they find said books beneath then

I was a daily smoker for 4 years. Stopped smoking in December of 2019. Two years coming up and the cravings that went away after a couple months is now coming back. Made me realize I've been coping with no weed with an intense coffee/caffeine addiction

Just backed down from a fight and feel like shit. I was sitting at home late at night when I hear a loud crash outside. I ran out thinking some drunk driver retard hit my car, but they hit a tree in the park across the street. Like 5 guys get out, all gangster looking hispanics, and start walking away. One sees me and shouts at me telling me to get the fuck out of there and to go inside. I tell him no fuck off, I live here so I stand and watch them. He starts approaching me slowly like he might swing. I didn't know what he had on him and I wasn't going to risk some street fight so I turned around and walked back to my car. Called the cops blah blah blah
I know I did the "smart" thing in the situation but I still feel like a bitch. I'm not a pushover but most people like me so I don't get into confrontations like this often. This whole situation hit deep in my instinctual manhood. Tomorrow I'm going to start lifting and find a boxing gym or something. I don't want to be a pussy again

How many words are in the average novel? You guys told me to go by wordcount instead of page count, but I don't know how many words are in a book.

I'm going to learn how to code so I can develop my own programs to plan and manage my studies, notes, reviews, reading lists, and to create databases for knowledge and entries for authors, topics, etc. Do you guys know of any books or methods about learning, memory and knowledge organization I should be familiar with so I can do all of that effectively.

I finished Crime and Punishment after two weeks and now I don't feel like reading anything. I downloaded some samples of books in the Kindle app to see if something puts me in the mood and so far nothing. It's just as if that Dostoevsky's prose and characters were so good and distinct and the overall feeling the book conveyed resonated with me so much that now everything else feels out of place.
I want to keep the habit of reading 20 pages every day but now I have nothing to read.
Help me out lads.
