For the "fast food" quality type of his books, I actually like Sando. But Rhythm of War was so bad (somehow even worse than Oathbringer) that I couldn't even finish the book. I am never touching anything from him again.

He bit more than he could chew. That's a reoccurring issue with him. He has these overly ambitious original projects that took him well over 20 years to idealise, but only had the best ideas and main plots and outlines for the first 2 books. After that, he's just running on fumes and his massive outline. Characters have no agency in his novels, and he has this obsessive retarded OCD paranoia where he literally feels like he has to write over a thousand pages per book.

Sanderson, as a written, is an absolute tragedy. For me at least. He could be writing consistently at a slower pace and still be pumping out cool easy to read stories. Even if they make movies about his series, you just know that they will be absolute CGI dogshit and shit on the original material (And I'm not even sure that's a bad thing in this case.
