Question about the Witcher series for anyone who's read through them here

I read The Last Wish and am halfway through the 2nd book of short stories, and I hate Yennefer's existence in the story. I don't necessarily hate the character itself but I hate how Geralt acts around her and the writing of their parts seems questionable at best - is it even worth continuing with the series if I dislike their relationship through these stories? I understand that it's a rather major part of the series and continues throughout the rest of the novels

Are The Witcher books good or shit?
They were written by a salesman so I doubt they are good
