A pot of water was already steaming on his cheap, blue camping stove and Stavoise flicked his cigarette into the simk before gripping the pots handle and sloshing boilng water into the small earthenware bowl.
"Ahh mon frere" Stavoise always affected a French accent when he was cooking, "delicioso, a piping hot bowl of cereal". He smacked his leathery old lips and slowly eased a spoonful into his wet mouth.
