The most brilliant thinkers were scientists, not philosophers. Philosophers prefer to dwell in ignorance and "u cannot know nuthin" kindergarten tier pseudo-intellectualism. I happily ignore philosophy, for it doesn't amount to anything. A lot of philosophy is anti-scientific. Metaphysical untestable claims about qualia, consciousness, god, solipsism and the meaning of life directly contradict the assumptions of the scientific method. People like Feyerabend and their "cannot know nuthin" wannabe epistemology and denial of scientific objectivity are just as anti-science as creationists.
