A thread about e-readers and e-books. I got a kindle paper white for Christmas. 30 minutes later I learned that the greedy book publishers have pushed e-book pricess to absurd levels. Where do you find your books? I'm not above paying, but I'll be dammed if I buy an electronic copy of something that is cheaper to buy on actual paper.

Do people actually use ebook readers? I rarely use public transportation anymore, but in the past when I used it a lot I rarely saw anyone using an ebook reader, same when I do use public transportation once in a while now. And I've spent some time in a coffee shop lately, don't think I saw anyone using one there either. I have an old Kindle and I want to love it but I can't, I haven't actually used it that much. Are ebook readers a useless invention? I'm in Sweden.
