Because rightwingies need an intellectual to cling to. They’re desperate to prove wrong that old saying about the right side of history being left. So any backward looking traditionalist comes along and they shill him till we all get tired of him.
There’s an inordinate amount of time spent pushing these guys, and a couple of gals, and a whole of effort put into defaming leftist thinkers.
/lit/ didn’t used to be like this. But this has been going on for years and it seems to have driven most of the better posters away.
