I only spent four months in Britain and even I know that the equivalent of "pussy" is "fanny."

This has been a report from a wise American tourist.

If you don't say Herman Melville or William Faulkner, you don't know shit about literature.

Also, poetry should be John Donne.

Kubrick does not compare to the greatness of Hitchcock.

The rest of the list is pretty okay with me.

So, /lit/ I asked awhile ago and got no responses so I'll try again. Where do I start with Pantheistic literature?

So Lit I already have the essential guide to Russian Lit but is there anything not on it or maybe even if it is, you'd like to recommend from 19-20th Century Russian lit?

Hey e/lit/its currently working my way through Russian literature and I've gotten through bits and pieces but there is plenty I have to read so I come to seek advice.

Currently I have read
Tolstoy-The Cossacks(attempted to get through War & Peace multiple times, can't force myself to read it)

Dostoevsky- Crime and Punishment. Need to read Notes from the Underground and the Brothers Karamazov

Chekhov- Read short story collections, haven't ventured into his plays as I feel they need to be seen rather than read but maybe someone can convince me otherwise
Gogol-Just started Dead Souls, enjoying it so far

Nabokov- Need to read Lolita

debating on reading Pushkin as poetry translated rarely does the poem in it's original language any justice and I don't know of his prose

So what am I missing out on?

OP, perhaps you should clarify your definition of "Romantic," just to be safe with these bozos.
