Then why haven't you killed yourself yet? If there's no point in living you really don't need to be here.

i'm about to fall apart and I don't know what will happen to me. If it's something drastic here's my final gift to you /lit/.

http://pastebin.com/uA1iPGZe

whatever the case I will be here a while longer, so read it and review it if you want. or if none of you think it's worth your time, which it probably isn't, don't. you've been my only friend these last few months so I will give this to you. I don't know if it is worth anything and it probably isn't and if it is it doesn't matter.

thank you

Why does life require use or value?

After you sense the boundaries of what can be known, running your hands along the length of the walls of knowledge, feeling each groove and nub with your fingers. All that's left to motivate us to 'continue onward in life' is the futility of acquiring and manufacturing fleeting sensory experiences that furnish inevitably nostalgic memories. All experience eventually circling back to This. This vastness you feel inside of yourself, drawing you in. An intoxicating silence and wellspring of knowing. A sort of quiet Seeing. A space in which everything has already happened.

Anyways, Zen Buddhism helped me translate my Western philosophical nihilism into a more functional working worldview that embraces both meaninglessness and our fundamental inability to perceive truth.
