the joke is it's been decades of Ayn Rand mindfucked arseholes telling each other that telling the truth to make life sensible and habitable is just another concept, as valid as 'it's okay to be a douche'. Peterson just submits a technical explanation that's digestible, based on Piaget mostly, then explains why valuable stories survive for millennia when they support this same principle. Truth and order make life bearable, shit breaks down anyway but lies and malice add a dimension of pain that's entirely unnecessary.
