What is the phenomenon called where you are writing and you need to write the same word a bunch of times and the first couple times you write the word it's OK but as you write the word more and more that word starts looking strange and the word looks a little alien word and the word stops making sense and you wonder if you're misspelling the word word or maybe you're misusing the word or duplicating the word and then it's over and it goes away?

I read a book that Lonesome Dove was allegedly based on, about a cattle drive from Texas to Montana, and there was an awful lot in that book about cows.
