I agree, the end of the book was very hopeful but I can't halt a sense of depression for her life. She never got a break throughout it and when she finally got a husband, he was just aweful. I really wish I could talk to other people in person about it, but the kids in my high school are so fucking stupid that I am overjoyed that I am a college bound Senior. And yes you can tell she was a very skilled poet all throughout the book.
