How do you maneuver through structures like the ones described in the Trial without becoming bitter, resentful, fearful, anxious, losing hope etc?
Structures could be anything in modern society: bureaucracy, school, work and so on

Which part of this is supposed to interest me? The upcoming event you suggest in your intro is a trial, which we hear about before we're told what the associated crime is. A trial with no context sounds boring as shit. If you want to salvage this shit, rewrite the synopsis to tell us something compelling about the protagonist and start linking to that rather than this legless introductory chapter.

The Trial - Franz Kafka

What the hell is this? I just finished it and didn’t like it. Why is it on so many lists of ‘must reads’? I read metamorphosis last week and enjoyed it but have no idea why The Trial is valued in any way?

Any insight is appreciated

Was his brute method his downfall? Was it that he insulted the court and all the people connected too much? I feel like i'm missing a huge marker yet I liked it very much, reminds me of TCoL49's paranoia but in a more subtle way.

The Muir translations are really good, and I prefer it over this breon Mitchell one prose wise, though apparently this one fully encompasses the whole story or something. Am I missing out on anything just reading the Muir translation over the Mitchell one?
