No such thing. Books won't really expand your mind if you aren't interested to begin with. There are plenty of brainlets that read Plato and Aristotle and have no idea what to get out of it.
But if you're serious, I recommend pirating the Cambridge history collection off of TPB. It's like 10 gigs and they have a wealth of information on different histories. The political one is especially good, and far better than what that idiot I quoted above recommended someone should do, as it's packed with all sorts of findings and different quoted material to give you a full perspective.
