/lit/ I need help quick! I have a revised short story to turn into tonight. The problem is those "breaks" you make in Word by putting tildas or whatever ~ is called across a whole line. It looks like a bunch of tildas, but when you press enter it turns into something that looks like a bunch of v's. I used them for flashbacks, but now that I'm revising it I want to take them out. But now it won't let me delete them. I press backspace under them and the text below goes above it. I press delete above it and vice versa. I can't highlight it and when I right click there is no "cut" or delete option.

What do you guys think of Lovecraft's work? I like most of it, and at times the language he uses is a tad bit confusing, but overall he manages to tell some good stories with pretty vivid imagery. What say you?
