i dont either, and thats mainly because focault himself was not completely disabused of enlightenment modes of thought vis ethics (that The Good lies in deconstructing or opposition to hierarchy as categorical imperative [which finds its ultimate expression in the koan: 'only those that judge right from wrong are wrong']), a condition that haunted many post-war continentals.

you wont get far in the power structure with that attitude.

>the word racism is often precognitively associated with 'bad' in the zeitgeist

>use of certain words is important because it shapes the context of the debate

>in this case, defining racism so as to only apply to certain subsets of the population allows for conflation (a corner stone of postmodern normative justification), where the new definition combined with the old precognitive associations facilitates successful doublethink

the word 'conspiracy' is another example of such associations, hampering useful discussions of certain topics before facts, logic, or reason even enter the debate.

we already practice eugenics on a daily basis, people select their partners based on whatever criteria they prefer, sperm banks catalogue the attributes of their donors, babies are screened conditions and hereditary diseases, ect.

its simply social conditioning at work, people precognitively associating certain words and concepts with 'bad' before reason and facts even enter the discussion, 'conspiracy' is another good example.
