I just finished another book, tonight. It was an incredible read. If (for whatever reason) you do not think that religion and science are not conducive and beneficial to one another, I recommend you read this book. Sagan's last chapters outline how both institutions, can work (and should work) together to ensure the preservation of humanity as well as preserving "love". Because as he says, "Extinction is forever" and so far as we know, there is only one blue dot that has "human beings" on it. Which should give one a sense of how special, and precious we all are in the eyes of the cosmos.

This book is a fascinating spiritual journey through the eyes of a scientist. I recommend it!
