Hello /lit/,

Today I come to you with a question. I'm a 26 years old graphic designer and all the books I'm able to read for years are based on design, art, advertising, marketing, communication and branding. I don't read novels, classics, poems etc because I think I'd waste my time on the inner world/thoughts of somebody else. I always think I only should read rational/job-based books.

Is this stupid? Am I really missing some important reads by dissing those kind of books? Would they boost my creativity?

Please enlighten me. Thank you.
