How about we look at some of the ridiculous things about dualism? My favorites:
The Problem of Other Minds -
1. If Dualsim is true, then there is no reason to think that other people exist.
2. There is reason to think that other people exist.
3. Therefore, Dualism is not true.
The Inconceiviabilty of Causal Interaction -
1. We have no idea how a non-physical substance (an immaterial mind) could cause a physical object to move.
2. If 1, then we have no idea how Dualism could be true.
3. If we have no idea how Dualism could be true, then we should not believe Dualism.
4. Therefore, we should not believe Dualism.
I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, just wanted to present a counter-argument.

i guess this is the best place to have this thread so here it goes

What's your position on philosophy of mind? The question of what consciousness is has been the most important question for me, but i am still torn between some of the key positions. Mainly, what do you guys think about the mind body problem, the possibility of strong AI and qualia?
